NEW LONDON COUNTY, CONNECTICUT
New London County, Connecticut is located in the southeastern corner of the state and includes 21 cities and towns. The 2000 U.S. Federal Census reported a countywide population of 259,088 (7.6% of the state total). Major cities in New London County include Groton (39,907), Norwich (36,117), New London (25,671), and Waterford (19,152). New London County is also home to two of the states largest Native American Indian reservations — the Mohegan Tribe and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
